Join My Band - short film

Naomi has just finished shooting her latest short film "Join My Band", a 15 minute comedy drama about a boy who starts a band to get a girl. It stars Jessie Buckley (from Andrew Lloyd Webber's series I'd do Anything) and Max Fowler. The score is by Lucinda Belle, a singer-songerwriter and harpist who has just signed a 1.25 million record deal with Universal Records. Fearne and Peaches - new show for ITV2

Naomi is directing 'Fearne and Peaches Geldof', part of a brand new ITV2 series called 'Fearne and…' The series will see Cotton follow the stars at work and play through their daily lives as well as meeting their friends and families. "I came up with the idea for this show because of my love of autobiographies," Cotton said. "The whole lifestyle behind the public image is fascinating. I love piecing together the jigsaw puzzle of what lies beneath the surface. The series will be a real chance to peel back the layers of certain celebrities' lives."

South Bank Show - Royal Shakespeare Company

Naomi is filming and directing one of Melvyn Bragg's last South Bank Shows for ITV1. The film will go behind the scenes with the Royal Shakespeare Company as it embarks on a new programme of work inspired by Russia and the ex-Soviet Union. As well as revealing the rehearsal process and world-class backstage team, the film follows artistic director Michael Boyd travelling round the Ukraine with Natal’ia Vorozhbit, the author of The Grain Store, a new play by which will be premiered by the theatre company in the Autumn. The programme is one of the last in the final series of the programme, which is to be axed by ITV next year after more than three decades on television.

Short Film Project - Three Women

Naomi is working with two other female writers - one from the US and one from Afghanistan - on a cross-cultural writing experiment. The film is about three women’s lives on the day the war in Afghanistan began in 2001.

TV Series Faith in the Frame goes on air

The series is being broadcast on Sunday nights on ITV1, starting on August 30. It was pick of the day in the Times, Independent, Telegraph and Time Out.
